JoJo Mason, Meghan Patrick and The James Barker Band party at Knoxville's Tavern

Knoxville's Tavern in Edmonton was the place to be as Canadian Country Superstars hit the stage on Wednesday night.  With a lineup of 2017 Canadian Country Female Artist of the Year Meghan Patrick, Canadian Country Music Group James Barker Band, and multi-talented Singer/Songwriter JoJo Mason there was a party going on.  How could it be a miss when all three were nominated for the 2017 CCMA Rising Star award.

The Headliner for the night The James Barker Band currently on a Canada Wide tour, and having performed on the 2017 CCMA Country Music Awards show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, these guys put on a show.

It was non-stop fun from the time they hit the stage.  Energetic James Barker Band shows why they are heading up in the world of Canadian Country Music.

Having charted 4 Canadian Country top 10's and 1 number 1 hit "Chills" off their first Album - "Game On", they are taking the Country Music industry by storm.

In between the guys there is the current CCMA Female Country Artist of the Year in Canada, Meghan Patrick,  with her current number 1 hit on the charts and radio play everywhere, "Country Made Me Do it" is packing them in where ever she performs.  This lady is everything Country music is about, with only one album she has taken the Canadian Country industry by storm and is taking no prisoners.  She has the sass, that smile that takes you into her world, and even being the current Leading Lady of Canadian Country Music she still has time to visit with fans and say hi after her show.

This show was no different it had everything and went from straight forward to full blown country mayhem.  Her sets remind you of another Country artist that can have that sass and fun all while entertaining Miranda Lambert.  Meghan Patrick's show is one not to miss.

Oh Just in case you didn't notice, Meghan took the Rising Star award away from the guys this year.

In an industry, that is ever evolving, it's great to see that these three artists are heading in the right direction for the future.

Over All the Show was 5 guitars out of 5, only because that is all there is, it would be 6 if we had 6....

you definitely can't go wrong with any one of these artists but all 3 in one place you can't afford to miss the show.

Tanya Tucker kicks up the hits in Edmonton

Tanya Tucker Performs at the TD Roadhouse in Edmonton during the Canadian Rodeo Finals
Tanya Tucker brought her country music show to Edmonton to play the TD Roadhouse, opening for Aaron Pritchett at the Canadian Finals Rodeo, Saturday Night.  Miss Tucker showed why she has been around the country music industry for almost 48 years, after being discovered by Mel Tillis in 1969.  It was a fast track for Tanya as she released her first single "Delta Dawn" in 1972 at the age of 13, and continue to record songs to this day.  Tanya let fans hear a new single just recorded on Friday, to the surprise and joy of those in attendance.

Tany had the crowd both young and old up dancing with hits from all through out her career.  Miss Tucker still has a way to work with crowd and it didn't matter if they were 18 or 80 Tanya had something for them all.  Tanya's career is one that crossed over the boundaries and so did her show having fun with band members and the crowd.

It was a big part of the show when she turned and around and did covers of some of those country artists she loved.  Tammy Wynette's "Stand by Your Man",  Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" and she had to sit down to sing Glenn Campbell's "By the Time I get to Phoenix" and she nailed them all.  It's hard to say which song was my favorite I loved the whole show but I think, I would have to lean towards her rendition of "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" was definitely up there.

Miss Tucker also along with her band kept the crowd dancing for every song, as she gets ready to put out some new music, she can be assured her fan base is still growing even after 40 Years.
