Tanya Tucker kicks up the hits in Edmonton

Tanya Tucker Performs at the TD Roadhouse in Edmonton during the Canadian Rodeo Finals
Tanya Tucker brought her country music show to Edmonton to play the TD Roadhouse, opening for Aaron Pritchett at the Canadian Finals Rodeo, Saturday Night.  Miss Tucker showed why she has been around the country music industry for almost 48 years, after being discovered by Mel Tillis in 1969.  It was a fast track for Tanya as she released her first single "Delta Dawn" in 1972 at the age of 13, and continue to record songs to this day.  Tanya let fans hear a new single just recorded on Friday, to the surprise and joy of those in attendance.

Tany had the crowd both young and old up dancing with hits from all through out her career.  Miss Tucker still has a way to work with crowd and it didn't matter if they were 18 or 80 Tanya had something for them all.  Tanya's career is one that crossed over the boundaries and so did her show having fun with band members and the crowd.

It was a big part of the show when she turned and around and did covers of some of those country artists she loved.  Tammy Wynette's "Stand by Your Man",  Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" and she had to sit down to sing Glenn Campbell's "By the Time I get to Phoenix" and she nailed them all.  It's hard to say which song was my favorite I loved the whole show but I think, I would have to lean towards her rendition of "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" was definitely up there.

Miss Tucker also along with her band kept the crowd dancing for every song, as she gets ready to put out some new music, she can be assured her fan base is still growing even after 40 Years.
