President Jimmy Carter opens the 34th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter work project

Edmonton AB -  President Jimmy Carter is in Edmonton as part of the 34th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project with Habitat for Humanity - Edmonton, building 150 homes in celebration of Canada's 150th Anniversary. Over 900 volunteers from across Canada and around the world will be participating.

President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn Carter will be in Edmonton July 10-12 at the Carter place site in Laurel.  Also 250 volunteers will be working in Ft. Saskatchewan as well as Winnipeg Manitoba and other locations across the country to complete this project. over 75 homes in Edmonton and Ft Saskatchewan will be completed to support Carter's work project.

 Over the next couple of days Volunteers as well as the Carter's will participate in building homes at the Carter Place site in Edmonton, along with Entertainer and Grammy award nominee Eric Paslay, who travelled from Nashville to participate in the event.   Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are also expected to participate in the Edmonton Build.

The 34th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter work project wraps up Friday night with a closing event at the Canadian Football League's Edmonton Eskimos vs Ottawa Red Blacks football game at Commonwealth Stadium.
