A little known secret was that last year, Habitat for Humanity - Edmonton, President Alfred Nikolai, ran into Garth and Tricia and they were interested in participating in the 34th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter work project in Canada to build 150 homes during Canada's 150 th anniversary year.  However, at the time scheduling was posing to be an issue, so it was not announced until the last moment, although those who follow Tricia Yearwood on Facebook would have known that they were coming as she announced she was getting ready for this year's Project.

Both Trisha and Garth have been involved with Habit for Humanity for 11 years when they participated in the build that included the 101st home after Katrina.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood just recently completed a 9 day run of their World Tour in Edmonton, so it was great to see them back and giving back.  Working alongside President Jimmy carter and his wife Rosalynn, Garth and Tricia definitely got their hands in the thick of things while helping to build another home.
