K-Days has completed its 2018 run, and it definitely had some great moments. From the very start right up until the last minute, Edmonton's longest running fair had its share of things to do. We had the opportunity to check out this years events and are giving the whole fair a 7 out of 10. As with anything there is nothing that is perfect, and there were some short comings but the overall atmosphere was definitely positive.
Let's start on the positive start with this year's K-days parade down Jasper although the route was changed due to construction, the parade itself was one of the largest ever.
Here are a few images from the parade.

This years parade had a number of different elements to it, however, the biggest was the recognition of those with disabilities and service dogs. Thorughout the parade were Service dogs and service dogs being fostered before they become fully trained. The first Miss Wheel Chair Canada, Vahen King (center image) also participated in the event, one of the last in her term.
Various Communities were present in the parade as well, with the Local Chinese and Korean Communities having the biggest number of participants in their entries.
Edmonton's very own Canadian Olympic figure skater Kaetlyn Osmond was
the honourary parade marshal. Wearing her Bronze and gold Olympic and
gold World's medals during the parade
From history to sports, the K-days parade represents everything Edmonton.
The Parade is just the start of the K-days Experience............ Once the parade ends the fun in the park begins.... To be continued
